Hey everyone I've been wanting to get into modding for a while but I'm having a hard time understanding the basics, is there somewhere I can start for first time users in anything to do with scripting/modding?

Yes coding specifically.
Since you're here, I assume you want to get into Skyrim related modding, which means you'll have to start learning papyrus. There are plenty tutorials on papyrus, and you just gotta find them on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB1V84kNOR8
I have a question, is skywind and skyblivion connected to skyrim in anyway, gamewise? I mean can we just start in those locations, are they considered games in their own right?
Reason I ask is I was to work on a skyrim based game. where you start in specific location unrelated to the vanilla skyrim game.
You can't travel from one to the other. They share engines, not games.
