This is a plugin which shows off the many efforts of the Morrowind fans who have put paint to canvas (or otherwise digital) over the years, and rewards the player with a sense of just how much of an impact it had on the gaming world.
Its brilliant if you don't want to see Skyrim related stuff, whilst exploring the provinces of Vvardenfell.
We now have 76 loading screens all Morrowind themed! The artists who have kindly allowed us to include their amazing work are (all users name at @deviantart.com): lelek1980, hyperionwitch, leksotiger, shagan-fury, IrisErelar, kotnonekot, swietopelk, phomax, red-aardvark.

NOTE: In the download section, under [WIPz]SkywindFanArtLoadScreensV0.2, click on "File" and then scroll down to "download" to get all the files at once.
The loading screens will only show up in Skywind and once you are back in Skyrim, you'll get the default ones (boring). If you have a custom loading screen mod, it will probably have conflicts.
I have set it up for an optimal 1920x1200 resolution, but should fit on smaller and larger screen sizes.

There are no conditions set yet for particular loading screens to show, for example based off completed quests, or showing regional based pictures, or even based off race, etc. Until we have more information in our master this will not be possible, but this is something that will be added to the final release.
There will be more loading screens added as artist give their permission and also potential spoiler ones will be able to include as quests and scenarios are completed.
There are plenty of loading screens that require appropriate quotes and sentences, so should you become inspired by one, leave a comment here and we can add it.
If you are an artist or know of any artworks based around Morrowind please leave a comment here and I will endeavor to incorporate and seek permission from the artist.
All Skyrim related quotes on the loading screens will need to be replaced, to fully immerse the player. So if you have a favorite bit of lore or quote for anything Morrowind, please leave it here. I need to tie it in with a condition in the creation kit, so if you can state if it is for a particular location, faction, skill, weapon, armor, alchemy, npc, enchanting, magic, etc, that will help. It can just be a sentence not related to anything in particular if you want, it will just show up randomly on loads :)
These sentences will built into main Skywind package.
Cool. Could you post some screenshots? I didn't even know you could use non 3d loading screen art.
Rather than upload screen shots, I'll encourage people to play the game instead :) There are only 5 in game so far, but I'm going to keep adding to it as I get more permissions from the artists. Did you know there are over 11,000 Morrowind related fan art pictures on deviant art alone!
The load screens are still models, based off the civil war map.
The artists responses have been fantastic, so we will be choc-o-block full of amazing and varied artwork. Most of them are excited about the Skywind project and some have even been following its progress.
I've even had a couple of them volunteer to do some work for us, but I'm not sure if we have anything specific? So I've told them to hold that thought, just encase we want something in the future.
Full credits will go on the loading screens with links to their websites.

I'm going to try out this mod today after I have everything downloaded by the way. If it turns out good enough, I think we should just consider this part of the project and merge it.

On the sizes, its basically what's been available to download. So I'm asking artists for bigger sizes for all of them. I'm hoping over a bit of time I'll get bigger ones for all. I'll avoid stretching them as the quality isn't very good if I do.
I'm actually an anime fan, so personally I like the "cartoon" ones. For my opinion they tell a story and fit right in with the idea fan art in a big way. If people really don't think its a good fit then of course we can removed them....hmm maybe some :)
Sounds good about the sizes. Of course my monitor resolution is only 1366x768, so I doubt any of them would need to be stretched very much. But I guess most people have their monitors at a much higher resolution than that.
Hmm, perhaps you could have two plugins, and put some of the more cartoonish ones in as an additional plugin? But that's only if you want to of course. I can live with a couple of loading screens I don't like if the rest of them are awesome.
Yes it is possible to have just morrowind loading screens for skywind and also just skyrim related screens for skyrim.
Highkick has given me some quotes to use, but we can just keep adding quotes as people get inspired :)
