I don't know why so many

I don't know why so many people are working on armour and weapons, it's just not important right now.

This is a community project, people do what they want to do.

Thanks Sjors. I know some work has been done with the trees but I have no idea to what extent. Probably pay to talk to Eloth about what has been done.

Sorry. Not sure if this is

Sorry. Not sure if this is the appropriate place to deposit a resource, but I just found this pack: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36969/?

It's a bunch of resources that were made for Oblivion converted to Skyrim. Just thought it might provide some extra non-Nordic decorative options.

This is a good place to put

This is a good place to put potential model replacement links :) I have converted pretty much all of Stroti models from Oblivion, but they are not retexured or optimized for Skyrim.

Here is a new candle holder model from funktasm

Just another bump and call

Just another bump and call out for anybody wanting to help with simply modeling.

We need volunteers to download a resource pack that i have for potential contributes and to start going through them to match up possible replacements.

The resource pack is 1.5gb, so a lot to look through, but most of that is just the textures.

I'll take a look happy, just tell me the sort of things your looking for and whatnot. Idk how handy I'll be past matching them up as I have basic 3d max skills but hey tossing it out there lol

Great, I need to upload it

Great, I need to upload it somewhere first but I'll PM you the details. I'll get you to look through for furniture matchups. I've already done a lot of the clutter.

It will just be opening up Skywind models and opening up modder resources and slowly getting familiar with things that you have seen before. It'll be like that memory game, where you reveal a picture then turn it back over and then do another one. Eventually you'll remember more and get more match ups :)

Then you can go about the task of scaling and moving them to match with Skywind, with possible texture replacements, or this can be done by a bunch of people.

We have replaced all the

We have replaced all the exterior rocks in Skywind, but none of the cave rocks have been replaced. There are 34 of them and they need improvement, as well as replaced for legal reasons.

Here are a few examples of what needs work. If its something you want to try, please help out :)

Redoing all the cave

Redoing all the cave interiors meshes and can use a hand with detailing them out. Requires very very basic 3d modelling know how (if any really) but because there are 60 models to do, it is very time consuming.

Here is an example original model

Model separated into floor, side and roof textures, with some added detail. Note this does not conflict with level design as placed rocks in Creation Kit are of a much greater scale, this is just for small detail.

There are 18 corridor models like this, 18 further modular pieces for other connections and 24 caverns, so that is a lot of small detailing. Once again if you want to help the project then this is a very easy way for you to get into a task :) As far as the parts of the rocks that are hidden these can be removed at a later date, more important to get working models first. Also you can use any 3d program you want, I'll get them game ready so really all you have to do is place, scale, rotate lots of rocks to give more detailing. As well as place hanging moss on roofs, simply :)

Example of an cavern model (nifskope), without detailing

Example of this model with one part of the world (Creation Kit)

Example of it detailed out...to come :-P But there are 24 of these caverns, lots to do! Help!

I started converting qwertys

I started converting qwertys morroblivion clothes for skywind:

I have all the upper class, and lower class shoes converted. The shoes were easy. Now I want to try a set of clothes.. but to finish the shoes, I just need the file structure of how you want everything to go

Working on the exquisite robe to go with them fancy shoes:

This is a mod of a mod that's a mod for a mod, to be used in a mod..

Shirt conversion, textures are being weird rite now

it doesnt look fine, it looks

it doesnt look fine, it looks like crap :P there is a modeller working on a new one now, that is out of the question. Instead of converting morroblivion clothes, why dont you modify skyrim clothes, and retexture them? the models from morroblivion look horrible, with bad uv/texturing, not exactly up to skyrim standard.

Well the question still begs

Well the question still begs an answer, what's being made, actively being worked on, and when are said items slated to be finished? If there is something really cool thats actually going to show up soon then Id like to not waste my time on it and focus on a piece that isnt. I just find alot of people have said they were going to do this, or do that and then never materializes. I'm not saying you by any means but just people. That being said if you have something solid on things then let me know and I'll avoid them. What outfits need to be made? I'll start putting stuff together out of skyrim stuff if people wont have a heart attack.

its not bitching, its telling

its not bitching, its telling it like it is, you yourself should see that some of the morroblivion stuff isnt up on par.

And there is nothing wrong with using skyrim stuff for some clothing, actually some clothes are so similar they only need a recoloring.

Some models you can get help on getting reshaped, if you cant remodel, ravanna said he would make a modelling comeback, so he could help you.

btw why are you never in the chat?

For now you should basically avoid using the ugliest morroblivion models, and be critical when you are reviewing, for those will be remade no matter what, because we have the right people for the job.

Again, all I'm looking for is

Again, all I'm looking for is to know what's what. If you have some solid stuff then pm me let me know.. something.. And I totaly agree with you, skyrim stuff is way better, but again the people bitching factor comes into play even with a retex. Morroblivions stuff isn't up to par with skyrim that's a gimmie, no ones contesting that. However some of it is better then absolutely nothing at all.

A heads up on what I should

A heads up on what I should do would be cool so stuff isn't made twice. Some of its hard and takes forever as I'm sure you know lol Are people cool with sing clothes assets from skyrim? If so I'm way up for assembling outfits. Also should I worry about making a shirt and pants as one thing, or make each alone?

if you manage to remake the

if you manage to remake the uv on skyrim clothing, you have a winner, i think no one would complain if it didnt look too obvious that the clothing is from skyrim.

Its hard to tell what you should do or not, its better you decide if its worth it spending like 10 hours on a complete rig, contra using 3 hours for a retexture, and the retexture ended up looking much better than the 10 hour rig.

So maybe do those you think looks best first, and use much time on them to make them look best possible.

there are some proportions

there are some proportions that looks strange in that last picture, maybe you could layer a skyrimoutfit on top, and reshape the morroblivion outfit a little towards the skyrimoutfit shape?

EDIT: The upper legs is the first thing i see that is wrong somehow, it looks too thin or something.

Hey Khar'lor, that's awesome

Hey Khar'lor, that's awesome work but I think it could be even more awesome if you followed Eloth's advice! ^^ He knows his stuff.

Anyhow I'm so glad someone is finally working on the clothing... If I were a modeler I'd love working on it, I don't understand how it's been on standby for so long!

whats the diff? thats not a

whats the diff? thats not a good attitude to have, you should always have a critical eye, learn what looks good or not, that probably takes time, but you will get there.

Rule nr 1: Always adapt the clothing after the skyrim body, because it simply looks better and gets rid of the unnatural ugly oblivion body type.

if you cant comply with this someone else has to fix it, so do it right the first time.

I'm listening don't worry lol

I'm listening don't worry lol I just was wondering whats the difference between the bodies and using the clothes/armor, for me the clothes give me a better idea for what to shoot for on size idk. But I'm listening, I'm going over skyrim stuff for outfits. I'm going to find skyrim stuff edit them together  and that with retex will make new cool stuff. So when it comes to the more plain common clothes could I spice them up with like bags/pouches and stuff?

you should not only worry

you should not only worry about size, you should also worry about shape.

Do like this, when you have converted and imported the morroblivion clothing and put over a skyrim body, use this modifier:

(before going any further, collapse every modifier attached to the morroblivion parts)

choose modifier FFD 4x4x4, and choose control points, and simply drag the shape into place, or a better term would be shape the clothing after the shape of the body.

or use this method, select vertices, and use soft selection, and click on different parts of the clothing that doesnt fit, and drag  them into place.

OK so in qwertys morroblivion

OK so in qwertys morroblivion robes there is an Extravagant01b robe, I used a psijic base took out its shoulders, jewels, flappy thing in back, coppied and flipped around a part to make a full skirt front, added pauldrons. If all was better fitted and retexed it would be cool no?

yeah that is a good example,

yeah that is a good example, that just need some recoloring, and maybe change the uv a bit to match the morroblivion style better.

Also if possible, drop the shoulder pads.

Yeah that stuff can be

Yeah that stuff can be changed when it comes to retex time, and drop do you mean delete or just lower lol I can make a lot of this type of thing, editing and taking this and adding it to that. This is what I would like to do more then convert anyway, it's more creative :)

if you delete the shoulder

if you delete the shoulder pads, i suspect there is going to be a hole in the mesh lol, so flatten it out by selecting vertices and bring them down, and then go to uv editor, and try to make that part of the mesh use another part of the texture, like the lower arms texture.

I meant remove the pauldrons,

I meant remove the pauldrons, not the under part, you have to make it look like a robe without pauldrons, then you have to modify the uv

That robe sort of has

That robe sort of has shoulder thingys on it so the pauldrons kind of make up for that, its more ornamental rather then armor, its just looks armory right now without retex I think
