Just as we are landscaping the world, we also want to give the interiors attention.
Morrowind cluttering is actually really showing its age, with lack of detail and general repetitiveness.
They are not individualized to its NPCs, creatures, setting, etc.
More than any other set of tasks we need a small army of people working on these. We're hoping you've already made a house mod in Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim and know what its like to clutter a place so that it reflects the NPCs, story, setting and general themes of where you have chosen.
Those that haven't, we'd suggest you go through the Level Designer Series that Bethesda created:

You will be savvy enough to be able to look through all of Skywind and Skyrim assets to produce immersive environments. You want to achieve results that make rooms look lived in, or abandoned, or whatever suits in the most realistic way possible.
Just a few small examples; are they rich, poor, have a certain status that would reflect particular layout of objects? All these things can help a place be believable or feel that its being occupied by particular residents. Even if they are nasty creatures, disorganized bandits, proud Nords or master magicians. Use the fact that we know more about Elder Scrolls lore and can leverage from extra assets.
We look forward to how you approach your research and apply that knowledge, both technically and in a lore immersive way.
Also finalizing Navigation meshing for each room will mean that the interiors can be completed for release.
Here are some links about navmeshing, and what the hell navmeshing is exactly.

Also here a video guide on navmeshing by Bethesda(I think some of the other guides on navmeshing are a little better, but eh)

This is exactly the sort of work I love to do; giving character to areas and building places that tell a story. I do have some questions before I think about getting started though.
1) How thorough of a job are you looking for? Are we shooting for Skyrim-quality, fully finished areas, or more basic first passes while tilsets and clutter assets are finalized?
2) How free of a hand do we have in reinterpreting these areas? Do we want near-perfect recreations, or mostly just care about following the layout and general aesthetics?
3) Do monster spawns and NPC denizens need to be implemented at this point?
4) Regarding lighting, are we going for Morrowind-style where we're not afraid of darkness, or Skyrim-style where everywhere has enough light to see by?

Better than Skyrim quality ;-)

Just adding to the existing Morrowind setup, its just needs to be...more awesome
3) Do monster spawns and NPC denizens need to be implemented at this point?
Already implemented
4) Regarding lighting, are we going for Morrowind-style where we're not afraid of darkness, or Skyrim-style where everywhere has enough light to see by?
Anything you want, again just needs to be awesome.
i would love to help clutter houses, what houses need to be done?
So...how does one go about getting started? Obviously one needs to be able to import the Morrowind areas and needs the replacement cave meshes and such, but I don't see the tools or the assets anywhere on the forums.
I can do clutter and navmesh. I have a very large unfinished mod that I was not able to complete due to getting a job a few years ago. This is a FO:NV mod. I have a copy of the mod and all the organized files for it etc, (I wrote all the dialgoue and put it into word doc.
I am unemployed and carless for probably a while... So I've got TOO MUCH time. Aside from working out I spend the vast majority of it doing nothing remotely relevant, so I figured why not help out with this project.
I also want to play morrowind again, but not really too much so with the old engine. I did actually just buy morrowind on steam last night (it was only 20 bucks).
I bet at this point your thinking pics or it didn't happen. It did. Here is my photobucket.

In these pictures I have tried to demonstrate that I have a high attention to detail, I do not leave items "floating", I am very anal about stuff like that, maybe my slight OCD might do me some good in life lol.
Let me know if you can use me.

I'd like to help too. I've got a little experience with house mods/clutter/etc. I noticed, on the forum, that some of the unclaimed ones turned out to be claimed, so I'm a bit gunshy on claiming. If someone could point me toward what is still available for cluttering, I'd appreciate it.
