Hello, TES Renewal and Everyone
I recently bought a copy of 3ds Max 2016 and I need a Nif Importer and Exporter. Are there any Plugins that can do that for the 2016 Version or is anyone working on a Plugin?

The only plugin that really works is for 2012. Ehamloptiran had been making one for 2013 that also worked in 2014, but he abandoned pretty much everything he had been doing for Skywind/Skyblivion. So unless someone's started working on one since last I checked, your best bet is going to be finding a working copy of Max 2012.
That's sad news.
Hopefully someone picks up the Pieaces and starts to Develop a New Plugin.
If you paid for 2016 you should be able to download as late as 2013
I do have the 2012 version somewhere. But if I remember correctly I had problems when converting. But everything went fine the Texture where assigned currently and the Model appeared in the Ck currently but ingame it was invisible no idea why. I think it's a bug with the exporter/importer for 3ds Max 2012
There is an issue when exporting from 2012, but it's something you adjust in Nifskope. I can't remember what it was specifically, but it involves normal maps and adjusting some numbers. There should be info on the web.
Sorry for necroing this topic but the forum doesn't seem active enough to warrant a new thread and this on topic. Anyway I was just mulling around and this topic sort of reminded me that I should really have been updating the plugin more often but life got in the way and it was forgotten (sort of).
Anyway, I thought I'd post that I've updated the plugin to work with 3ds Max 2016 ( and compiled for the older versions but did not test).
Cannot say that it will be better than any of the guides but there were a number of fixes to exported models that may help.
