i don't know if this is a problem for anyone else, but i'm going to put up a new topic anyway. i don't know if i did anything wrong, but the main quest portion(which it says it's complete ) after charachter creation the guard will not move forward to the door to start the quest, even using a console command to unlock the door, i could not initiate the conversation with ergalis to get the release papers.
does anyone know if maybe it's a bug, or if maybe i need to reinstall or something?

You have to sprint into him.
alright i'll try that
just talk(activate) to the guard on the dock, that should activate the chargen, he should unlock the door after?
Yes but sometimes he doesn't unlock the door after or you have to wait like 10 seconds, this is an extremely annoying bug as it ruins the flow :|
hmmmmm then i dunno, it usually works pretty good for me?
He doesn't walk to the door immediately and lots of the time he doesn't say "Great, I'm sure you'll fit right in", or he does say that line but then you can't escape the conversation so you can't move and have to wait like 10 seconds.
well i tried it, pushed him all the way up to the door but he wouldn't unlock it, so i have no idea what i'm doing wrong.i even tried unlocking the door via console command and i could get into the room but then ergalis wouldn't get up and initiate the conversation to get the release papers
The waiting after the guy says anything sounds like the result of missing voiced dialog. As for the other issues, I'm sure Digital knows what is wrong.
Here's the flow WHEN YOU START A NEW GAME IN MORROWIND
- once outside the boat, get on the dock.
- The imperial guard (not the redguard) should come to you and trigger the racemenu
- once created he will say "i'm sure you'll fit right in" and walk to the door to unlock it [actually it should be unlocked even before he reaches the door]
- once inside, talk to the old man. He will talk to you.
- Select your birthsign and your release papers will appear on the table
- take them and talk to the guard, he will walk to the door and open it for you.
- continue to the next rooms and ask for duties
If use a skyrim save, it will certainly not work well. It's not done yet. We need to create some travel mods.
Also please note that the main quest is complete and has been tested by myself but there will certainly be bugs so consider yourself a tester and report them :)
ok i found the issue, i don't know why it happened, but for some odd reason the " you'll fit in " conversation would not start for one particular race.which is nothing i cannot work around.
no more trouble, sorry for the false report
