So I haven't played Skywind for too long but I thought that I'd post any problems I run into here. I understand that some of them will probably be already known or have already been fixed.
So far I've run into a few;
- Frequent CTDs in the Balmora Mage's Guild
- My character has a strange blue effect. Fixed with console command, Player.removespell 05060331
- Fighter's Guild won't let me join. I presume this is because the Fighter's Guild hasn't been done yet.
- A lot of strange meshes and textures near Ald'ruhn.
- CTD in West Gash outside Balmora.
- NPCS seem to call me a outlander? I'm playing Dark Elf so shouldn't this not be the case?
Once again sorry if none of these are new bugs :)

Hey, thanks for feedback. Here's what I can answer about.

Mostly due to active magic effect (maybe one of the birthsign you chose ?). We need to tweak them.

Correct. Not done yet.

In morrowind, there were text replacement variables like %PCRACE %PCNAME so the text was dynamic. This doesn't exist anymore in Skyrim because all dialogue is intended to be voiced, hence Bethesda cannot record the PC names. Therefore most of the time, we replaced this with "outlander" as this term is used several time in morrowind. That's technical reason.
Lore-wise (not being a lore extremist), I think native dunmer even dislike mainland dunmer and it's supposedly the first time you set foot on the island.
Ok thanks for the quick answer. Yeah I believe that the birthsign I chose is the Ancestors Protection one. Is there a console command to remove it? Such as removing the spell?
it's the same as removing a spell, you need to find the birthsign id in the console.
Ok thanks. I'll have a look at it later
So playing as a Dunmer, an NPC that never ever saw me will call me "Outlander"... That´s immersion for you :P
Couldn´t the text change when you are playing as Dunmer? A lot of people will get confused :)

I always played Dark Elves back in Morrowind and the characters would always call you an outlander regardless of your race. I'm not too certain about why the denizens of Vvardenfell have this superhuman sense to know when someone isn't from the island but hey - they do. Also rewriting the all the lines for Morrowind to have people call you something else in case you're a Dunmer, and voicing it, will just be way too much work.
Maybe once the first wave of voice-recordings are done we can brush up a few things but for now I'm rather certain the ''outlander'' is here to stay :P
Well the guards do say that they're watching you, so maybe everyone knows you're an outlander. =p
To quote a response to "Outlander"
"An outlander is anyone born and raised outside of Morrowind. Most Dunmer think anyone who isn't a native-born Dunmer is an outlander. Dunmer with Western words and ways are also immediately identified as outlanders."
